Reverend Bro. Ed Munro, Deacon
My wife Barbara, and I have been married since 1962. We have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. We’ve lived in Bowie, MD since 1971. For 25 years I was a fire fighter with Fairfax County, VA, and retired as a Lieutenant in 1997. Since 1982, I have been a member of the Brotherhood of Saint Gregory, a contemporary religious community of the Episcopal Church. I was ordained as a vocational deacon in June 1991.
In July of 1992, I founded the Baltimore International Seafarers’ Center, a ministry to merchant seafarers. I was the director of this non profit organization, and the Episcopal Port Chaplain, until my retirement from that ministry on December 31, 2004. I was assigned to St. Christopher’s, by the bishop, in September of 2006. It is my fifth parish assignment since ordination.
